The short version
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is read, and it sets cookies. It is switched off until you say otherwise: we ask first, nothing is written to your device before you answer, and declining is a real answer that we remember. Everything else we keep is a short list of first-party entries that remember a choice you have made. Each one is named in full below.

Purpose. Set only if you accept analytics. They tell one visit apart from another so we can see how many people read a page and which routes lead to an enquiry. They do not carry your name or your address, and we do not use them for advertising.

Purpose. Written only when you use the sound control in the dock. It remembers whether you turned the background music on or off, so that choice survives a reload instead of being asked of you again. It identifies nothing about you.

Type. cookie · strictly necessary · first-party.
Purpose. Written only when you choose a language from the selector. It remembers that choice so the site opens in the language you picked. It is not read for any other purpose and it identifies nothing about you.

Why we use Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is read: which pages hold attention, where readers arrive from, and which journeys lead to an enquiry. It sets cookies, which is why we ask before it does anything.
Until you agree, it runs in Google's consent mode with every storage permission denied. In plain terms: on your first visit nothing is written to your device and nothing identifies you. If you accept, the two cookies named above are set and ordinary measurement begins. If you decline, they are never set, and we remember that so you are not asked again.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which forgets your answer and lets us ask again.
Third-party content
The site embeds no third-party advertising, no Facebook / LinkedIn / X pixels, no Google Analytics, no Hotjar, and no chat-widget scripts. If we ever introduce a third-party that would set cookies, we will update this page and prompt for consent before loading it.
Your choices
- Most browsers let you clear site data, including localStorage and sessionStorage, from the address bar or privacy settings. Removing them resets the notice; the site continues to work.
- Declining on the banner is the simplest way not to be counted, and we remember it. Google also publishes a browser opt-out add-on that excludes you from Google Analytics on every site, not only this one. We will honour the choice without question.
