SurfTwo coasts, waves all year
The room
Sri Lanka has surf all year across two coasts. The south works from November to April and the east from May to October, so there is a rideable break in season whenever you visit, from beginner beaches to reef points.
The south runs November to April: Weligama for beginners, the reefs at Midigama (Lazy Left and Ram's) for intermediates, Kabalana's A-frame near Ahangama, and easy longboarding at Hiriketiya and Mirissa. The east runs May to October, when Arugam Bay's main point turns on and the Pottuvil breaks (Whisky Point, Peanut Farm) hold clean water on a dropping tide.
We match the board to your level and send you out when the wind drops. Kalpitiya carries the kitesurfing from May to September. Your envoy checks the swell forecast each morning and picks the break before breakfast.
